Westmead Health Precinct: 14 levels of world-class innovation

AW Signs undertook a significant project for one of the biggest public health infrastructure projects in NSW and delivered 3 months ahead of schedule.

In conjunction with Multiplex, Western Sydney Local Health District, ID-LAB and Health Infrastructure NSW, our experienced team manufactured and installed more than 45 freestanding external signs, sky signs and 4,600 internal directional (wayfinding), statutory and braille/tactile signs. The project included 14 levels, 2 emergency departments and 20 new interventional suites.

Mid project, the Emergency Department timeline condensed significantly as it prepared to open early due to the COVID pandemic. Despite the priorities shifting, our team delivered this project 3 months ahead of schedule.

The project also saw an additional series of client changes, with all delivery teams providing essential assistance in making this possible prior to the hospital going online.

Westmead provides direct health services to almost 10 per cent of Australia’s population through its four major hospitals, three research institutes and two major university campuses.
